Sivananda traces its beginnings to 1990, when the institution started serving the community.
1 March 1991 · Official opening
The school was officially opened, welcomed its first Grade 8 cohort and was handed over to the government and Department of Education.
Founding legacy · Education rooted in service
The Divine Life Society of Southern Africa built the school under His Holiness Shri Swami Sahajananda. It was named after His Holiness Shri Swami Sivananda.
Original identity · Technical College and High School
The institution was originally known as Sivananda Technical College and High School, reflecting its strong skills-education purpose.
